Tenth winner for leading freshman sire Gottcha Gold
Saturday, December 22, 2012
Shuttlecock's one-length maiden special weight victory gave Gottcha Gold his tenth winner from his first crop, second-most of any of Florida's freshman sires. The Ocala Stud stallion also ranks third on the list in progeny earnings, with $310,745 to date. Additionally, he is one of only two first-crop sires in Florida with more than one stakes horse.

Shuttlecock took the 4 1/2-furlong contest at Charles Town Races with a determined stretch run, coming from fourth with a furlong to run to be the best at the wire.

The winner, bred by Ocala Stud from the Unbridled mare Unbridled Bliss, earned $15,600 for the victory. Unbridled Bliss is the dam of four winners to date, and is out of Bright Bliss, winner of the Mohawk S. at age two.
