Roadster filly streaks to four-length victory in debut
Wednesday, July 8, 2026

Top-five First-Crop sire Roadster got his fifth winner in style Wednesday on the Horseshoe Indianapolis turf course when Downforce rolled home a four-length winner.

The gray 2-year-old made the lead in the first furlong, with Yalina battling her for the top spot down the backstretch. Going into the turn, Downforce asserted herself and opened up a three-length margin in just a few strides. She was unthreatened the rest of the way and cruised under the wire in :56.63 for the five furlongs on a firm turf.

A Dream Big Racing LLC homebred, Downforce is a half-sister to five-time stakes winner Forever Souper and hails from the same family as four-time Grade 1 winner Lakeway.

Roadster’s five winners include Hot Rod Honey, recent winner of the Sharp Susan S. at Gulfstream Park. Roadster, a son of leading sire Quality Road, has a 2026 fee of $7,500 S&N.
