R Angel Katelyn outdueled Faith N Hope to take Gulfstream Park's Liza Jane H. on Wednesday, the fifth stakes win for the 3-year-old High Cotton filly, pushing her earnings past the $300,000 mark.

R Angel Katelyn, owned by Averrill Racing, CCF Racing and K Lauren Racing, has won three stakes this year and the leading runner of 2017 High Cotton, who is current third in the Florida General Sire list.

Carrying 123 pounds, nine more than Faith N Hope, R Angel Katelyn dueled the entire 6 1/2-furlongs with her adversary, ultimately winning by a half-length in 1:17.52 on a sloppy racetrack.

Bred by Craig Wheeler, R Angel Katelyn is now 6-1-1 in nine starts and has earned $309,620.
