Prospective filly gallant in maiden special weight win at Woodbine

Ardor used every in of the Woodbine stretch to break her maiden Saturday at the Ontario oval, nosing out Tomato Bisque to become First-Crop Sire Prospective’s third freshman winner.

Trained by Eoin Harty for Casner Racing, Ardor covered the five furlongs on the synthetic surface in :57.92. 

The winner was bred in Florida by Steve Tucker and is from the same family as multiple graded stakes winners Del Mar Dennis and Forty Niner Days.

Prospective’s previous winners came at the prestigious Gulfstream Park and Del Mar meets. In the sales ring, he has had several six-figure 2-year-olds this year from 21 sold, with an average of more than 11 times his stud fee.
