Ocala Stud, which is celebrating its 60th year in business in 2016, has launched a new website at www.OcalaStud.com, featuring a responsive design that allows the site to be fully functional and aesthetically pleasing on all devices.

OcalaStud.com uses striking imagery and a contemporary design that embraces Ocala Stud’s storied 60-year history and brand, while marrying it with today’s latest technologies to best provide the tools and information that its clients and customers require.

“Times have changed in the 60 years we’ve been in business, including the ways we communicate with customers and fans online through our website and social media platforms. We hope the new website becomes a convenient and user-friendly source for getting comprehensive information on our stallions, 2-year-olds in training, and all things Ocala Stud,” said owner J. Michael O’Farrell Jr.

Ocala Stud is a family-owned-and-operated business that began with O’Farrell’s father – J. Michael O’Farrell Sr. – standing stallions in 1956. Still at its original location in Ocala, the farm also started as a pioneer in the 2-year-olds-in-training market in Florida in 1958. Both the stallion and 2-year-old sales operations remain at the core of Ocala Stud’s business to this day.

The home of many past champion sires in Florida, Ocala Stud has grown its stallion roster significantly in recent years. It’s standing 12 stallions in 2016, including Florida’s current leading sire Kantharos, as well as three others in the top five active sires in the state: Awesome of Course, High Cotton, and In Summation. Ocala Stud’s new stallions for 2016 include Grade 1 winner The Big Beast and Grade 2 winner I Spent It.
