Montbrook colt dominates at Aqueduct

Montbrook's 3-year-old son The Fed Eased romped to a 7 1/4-length victory to break his maiden in his second career start Jan. 29 at Aqueduct. In addition to being by Ocala Stud's leading stallion, the bay colt was also bred by the central Florida nursery.

The Fed Eased left little doubt who was the best horse in the six furlong sprint over Aqueduct's inner dirt course. After stumbling at the break, he recovered quickly to go up a length after a quarter-mile. The margin just increased from that point, and when he hit the top of the stretch, he ran away from the field without being asked. He finished the six furlongs in 1:10.74 over a track rated good.
