Mo Cash keeps record perfect in $100,000 OBS Sophomore S.
Sunday, April 2, 2017
Adios Charlie's 3-year-old son Mo Cash is now 3-for-3 following a gallant neck victory in Sunday's $100,000 OBS Sophomore S. at Tampa Bay Downs.

The bay 3-year-old had previously broke his maiden by nine lengths and then the $60,000 American Fabius S. by 3 ¾ lengths, both at Gulfstream Park.

Sunday's test would prove the toughest to date, with Mo Cash tussling with The Cookie Man and Reason to Soar through a half-mile in a very quick :45.02. The Cookie Man began to fade after that, but Reason to Soar and the late-on-the-scene Salute With Honor provided plenty of pressure in the stretch. Mo Cash would prove best, however, completing the seven furlongs in 1:22.40, just one second off the track record.

Bred by Amanda and Gerardo Gonzalez, Mo Cash has earned $113,284 in his three wins for Marco Thoroughbred Corp.

Adios Charlie ranks third on the 2017 Florida active sires list and is in the top 10 on the national Third-Crop Sire list, with 14 winners and more than $640,000 in progeny earnings to date this year.
