Lovely Sunset, a 2-year-old Prospective filly, bested a full field of maidens on the Gulfstream Park turf to score by 1 1/2-lengths in the finale on Christmas Eve.

Owned by her breeder John Oxley, the bay filly is the ninth winner this year from her sire's first crop. Prospective will be standing the 2018 season at Ocala Stud for a fee of $3,000 live foal, stands and nurses.

Lovely Sunset is the latest of six winners from her dam Vivid Sunset, who was multiple graded stakes-placed and is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winners Wanderin Boy and Early Warning.
