Jean Elizabeth extended her winning streak to four in the $75,000 Holiday Inaugural S. Dec. 6 at Turfway Park, dominating the field by 3 1/2-lengths in front-running style.
The striking 4-year-old gray daughter of Adios Charlie now has 11 wins in 17 starts and has never been worse than third in her career while collecting six stakes wins and $412,628 in earnings for owners Larry Rivelli, Richard Ravin and Patricia's Hope LLC. The first two also bred the filly.
There was little drama in the six-furlong Inaugural. Jean Elizabeth grabbed the lead just a few strides out of the gate and controlled things the rest of the way, drawing off in the lane to finish the distance in a very quick 1:09.39.
“She was the only speed in the race,” said winning jockey Albin Jimenez. “She’s a classy filly. I had a ton of horse. When I asked her she took off like a rocket.”
Jean Elizabeth has helped propel Adios Charlie to the number one spot on the 2019 Florida General Sire list, with nearly $3.6 million in progeny earnings. Ocala Stud recently announce that the 11-year-old stallion will stand for $4,000 stands and nurses for 2020.
