High Cotton’s quartet of maiden winners over Thanksgiving weekend
Sunday, November 30, 2014
High Cotton’s 2-year-olds were high profile over the recent holiday weekend, with four juveniles racking up impressive maiden wins from coast to coast from Nov. 27-29.

High Profit got the roll started with her maiden win, in her second lifetime start, at Del Mar on Nov. 27. The winner, bred in Florida by MAFE Racing Stable, Inc., was purchased by her owner Little Red Feather Racing for $55,000 at this April’s OBS Spring 2-year-old sale.

The following day, Tasunke Witco galloped to a maiden special weight victory at Parx. Ocala Stud, who bred the filly, sold her for $40,000 to her John Fort’s Peachtree Stable at the same OBS sale.

High Cotton notched two winners on Nov. 29 when Tripmeister scored by five lengths at Laurel Park and Hashtag Giddy Up won by six at Tampa Bay Downs. Tripmeister, bred by Ocala Stud, is a $40,000 graduate of the OBS April sale. Hashtag Giddy Up is out of the multiple winner Striking T, who has produced four foals, all winners, including the stakes-placed filly Cambiata.
