Saturday, July 16, 2011
Ocala Stud's freshman sire High Cotton got his second career winner July 15 at Calder; Hunter's Lounge broke his maiden by a head going 5 1/2-furlongs in his career debut.

High Cotton is currently third among Florida's first-crop sires. His lead earner is Tarpy's Goal, who placed in the Grade 2 Futurity S. at Belmont Park.

Bred in Florida by Betsy Waterman, Hunter's Lounge is owned by James Cavanaugh. The chestnut colt was sold this past April at the OBS Spring 2-year-old sale. The juvenile is a half brother to Cab, winner of the Black Gold S.
