Hear My Prayer rolled to a front-running victory in Saturday's $75,000 Melody of Colors S. at Gulfstream Park to become the first stakes winner for The Big Beast. 

Already the sire of a pair of graded stakes performers, The Big Beast is Florida's second-leading Second-Crop sire by both earnings and winners. After breeding 113 mares last season, he is standing for $6,000 live foal in 2020.

Using her customary early speed, Hear My Prayer took the lead almost immediately, posting a swift quarter of :21.23. She was up a length entering the stretch, then sprinted clear to win convincingly in :55.89 for the five furlongs on the firm turf.

Hear My Prayer has won all three of her turf sprints and has now earned $90,310 for Cara Oliver.

Bred in Florida by Janet Erwin, the winner is out of the stakes winner Additional Prayer and has a yearling half-sister by Rainbow Heir and her dam was bred back to Awesome Slew
