First mares in foal for Ocala Stud’s Grade 1 winners Noble Bird and Greenpointcrusader

Ocala Stud’s first-year stallions Noble Bird and Greenpointcrusader both have had their first mares confirmed in foal, the farm announced today.

Noble Bird covered the winning Valid Appeal mare Valid Silk, the dam of 11 winners from 13 foals to race, including stakes winner Rockey River and stakes-placed Take Me To Zuber. The Ocala Stud-owned mare is a half-sister to three stakes horses.

Greenpointcrusader covered the Jacks or Better Farm-owned mare Awesome Belle, a multiple stakes-winning daughter of Awesome of Course. Out of the multiple stakes winner and stellar producer Bayou Plans, Awesome Belle, an earner of $529,187, is a half to Grade 1 winner Midas Eyes and multiple Graded stakes winner Bayou’s Lassie, among others. Both mares have been pronounced in foal.

Millionaire and Stephen Foster (G1) winner Noble Bird is a track record-setting son of Birdstone. He stands for an introductory fee of $5,000 S&N. Greenpointcrusader, Bernardini’s winner of the Champagne S. (G1) at two, is also standing his first season at stud for $5,000 S&N.
