Ocala Stud stallion Concorde’s Tune enjoyed a wonderful sale at the annual OBS February Select Sale for 2-year-olds on Feb. 17th, as a pair of his juveniles went through the ring and proved to be popular, selling for $225,000 and $95,000, respectively.

Hip No. 197, a filly out of Hallie’s Rush, was one of the highest priced fillies of the sale at $225,000. Demi O’Byrne signed the ticket for the lovely filly. Costanzo Sales was the consignor.

Hip No. 109, a colt out of the Island Whirl mare Whirl’s Girl, was the first to go through the ring. The young racing prospect sold for $95,000 to buyer Tony Wilson. Ocala Stud sold the colt, which is a half-brother to graded stakes performer Hemingway’s Key.

Ocala Stud stallion Montbrook – Florida’s leading sire again in 2008 – enjoyed a typically solid sale. Montbrook had two lots sell for $80,000 and $50,000, respectively.
