Sunday, June 8, 2025

Tank won his third straight stakes race Saturday at Gulfstream Park with a front-running score in the Not Surprising S. at 1 1/16-miles on the turf.

The 3-year-old Adios Charlie colt took the English Channel S., also at Gulfstream, and the Sophomore Turf S. at Tampa Bay Downs prior to Saturday’s win.

Tank made the lead in the first few jumps out of the gate and secured a spot along the rail going into the first turn. He had a half-length on Lastabitlonger for the first five furlongs, then began to edge away around the final bend. He cut the corner coming into the stretch and spurted away, ultimately winning by three lengths in 1:39.93 on the firm turf.

Owned by his breeder Arindel, Tank is 4-2-1 in 10 starts and has earned $240,120.

Adios Charlie is now the leading Florida sire of 2025 by stakes winners. He has more than 30 lifetime stakes horses and is on the cusp of $25 million in lifetime progeny earnings.
