Fourth new winner in 14 days for Kantharos
Saturday, December 20, 2014
R Limo Joe drove right to the lead and kept on cruising, taking a $34,000 maiden special weight at Gulfstream by two lengths in his career bow on Dec. 19th.

The impressive victor was the 18th first-crop winner for Kantharos, Florida's Leading Freshman and Juvenile Sire. Kantharos has sired more winners than any Florida freshman sire in four years, and his six stakes horses are more than any Florida freshman since 2001.

R Limo Joe was the 3-2 co-favorite in the 5 1/2-furlong test over the main track. Bred in Florida by Ocala Stud, the chestnut was ridden by Edgard Zayas, and is trained by Kirk Ziade. He is out of multiple stakes producer Valid Silk, by Valid Appeal, and from the direct family of On To Royalty.
