Undefeated Derek Adrian shines in Grade 1 debut
Sunday, December 18, 2016
In Summation's brilliant 2-year-old colt Derek Adrian kept his unblemished record intact on Dec. 18 with a 2 3/4-length score in the Clasico Agustin Mercado Reveron S. (G1) at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico.

The unbeaten colt was making his first start around two turns and in a Grade 1, but was unfazed by the challenges. Stalking in second for six furlongs, the dark bay assumed command on the far turn and pulled away strongly in the stretch.

Now a three-times graded stakes winner, Derek Adrian has won all seven of his starts by an average margin of more than 10 lengths.

Derek Adrian is one of seven stakes horse this year for In Summation, a leading fourth-crop sire in Florida this year. He will stand at Ocala Stud in 2017 for a fee of $2,500 live foal.
