Sixth Winner for Florida's Leading Freshman Sire
Friday, September 26, 2014

Here Comes Adri took to the slop like a pro, and sped to a six-length victory over maiden 2-year-old fillies at Delaware Park on Sept. 25th.

The gray/roan miss became the sixth winner from the first crop by undefeated juvenile Kantharos, who is well on his way to becoming Champion Freshman Sire in Florida.

Here Comes Adri was making her second career start on Thursday, and did not let the inside post nor the sloppy surface disturb her. Breaking alertly, Here Comes Adri was ahead by 2 1/2 lengths at the 3/8 pole, then increased her advantage throughout, drawing off smartly under her own accord to the wire.

The second foal from Sherates Inmybook, by Unbridled's Song, she has made both her starts since Sept. 10th, and boasts a record of 2-1-1-0 while racing for owner/breeder John Patitucci.

Kantharos now has six winners and a $100,000 stakes horse, for first-crop earnings of $257,011. The handsome chestnut was undefeated and untested as a two-year-old, with three wins by 28+ combined lengths. He stood the 2014 season at Ocala Stud for $5,000 Live Foal.
