Top-five First-Crop sire Roadster got his third winner June 5 at Gulfstream Park when Hot Rod Honey overcame a wide trip to win a five-furlong maiden special weight contest by 1 ¼-lengths.

The 2-year-old filly was third early on while racing wide on the backstretch. In the three path around the turn, she collared the pacesetter Privateinformation just inside the final furlong, then pulled away late to secure the victory.

The winner was bred in Florida by the Estate of Brereton C. Jones and is owned by Troy Johnson, Wendell Yates and Robert Fritts.

Out of Go Together, Hot Rod Honey has a yearling full sister and a full brother foaled in 2026. Hot Rod Honey hails from the family of Grade 1 winner Creaking Board and graded stakes winner Crowd Pleaser.

Roadster, who stands for $7,500 S&N, is currently fourth on the Freshman Sire list, ahead of the likes of Corniche, Epicenter and Jackie’s Warrior.
