Top-five First-Crop sire Roadster got his ninth winner in style Aug. 15 at Saratoga when the 2-year-old colt Road Show rallied from off the pace to win a $115,000 maiden special weight contest by 2 ΒΌ-lengths.
After finishing a rallying second over the same month ago in his career debut, Road Show was once again well off the early leaders on the backstretch and into the turn. He commenced a rally with about three furlongs to go, coming four-wide into the stretch. Still in third with a furlong to run, the bay colt found his best stride and powered to the front to win going away.
Road Show is trained by Mark Casse for Harry Rosenblum and was bred in New York by Robert Cotran. Road Show is out of the Summer Front mare Healthful, a daughter of Canadian Horse of the Year Biofuel.
