Keen Flatter fought back gamely in the stretch to score a one-length maiden special weight victory on Saturday at Woodbine.

The bay colt is the second winner in as many days for First-Crop sire Ami’s Flatter.

Keen Flatter and Forest Buzz battled for the lead through the first half-mile, when Keen Flatter asserted himself. He was quickly joined by Celentano at the top of the stretch, and after briefly giving up the lead, Keen Flatter came back in deep stretch and edged clear late to finish the 6 ½-furlongs in 1:17.84.

The winner is owned and bred by Ivan Dalos’ Tall Oaks Farm, who also campaigned Ami’s Flatter throughout his career.

Keen Flatter is the first foal out of Keen’s Success, an unraced sister to stakes winners Conquest Enforcer, Conquest Vivi, and Keen Gizmo.
