Monday, January 25, 2016
A 2-year-old daughter of High Cotton topped the Barretts January mixed sale, selling for $55,000. The one-day sale was hold at Del Mar Racetrack on Jan. 20.

Elena Crim's H & E Ranch consigned the filly, hip No. 183, and Kristina and Jerome Russell purchased the chestnut Florida-bred. The filly is out of the stakes-placed Crafty Prospector mare Think Fast, who has also produced Canadian stakes winner Ciaran's Prize.

High Cotton, Florida’s leading sire of juvenile winners in 2015, is off to another hot start in 2016, already accounting for the stakes winner Karen’s Silk earlier this month.
