Multiple graded stakes winner Gottcha Gold got his third winner as a sire Sept. 16 in the first race at Calder, then came right back just four races later with a second 2-year-old winner at the same track.

In the first race, Justforgetaboutit won by 1 1/2-lengths going a mile over a sloppy main track. The chestnut gelding, bred in Florida by Cavendish Investing Ltd., is 1-1-0 in three starts for Vicino Racing Stables and William Kaplan.

In the fifth race Uptown Anthem zipped to a handy 3 3/4-length win going a mile and a sixteenth in a maiden special weight contest. Uptown Anthem, also trained by Kaplan, is 1-0-2 in three starts for Pinnacle Racing Stables.

Uptown Anthem, who ran third in the $73,800 Seacliff S. on Aug. 25, is one of two stakes horses by Gottcha Gold, who is also the sire of Seacliff runner-up C D Gold, is the only Florida Freshman Sire with any black-type performers.
