Sunday, December 13, 2020
Chess's Dream looked very sharp in his maiden special weight win Sunday on the Gulfstream Park turf course, powering his way to a five-length win to become the seventh First-Crop winner for his sire Jess's Dream.

Unhurried early in the 7 1/2-furlong race for 2-year-olds, Chess's Dream made a bold four-wide move on the final turn to take over the lead in upper stretch, then drew off with authority.

The winner is owned by Michael Dubb, Steven Bouchey, Bethlehem Stables and Chester Bishop and was bred in Florida by Loren Nichols. Out of Achalaya, Chess's Dream is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Casa Creed.

Jess's Dream, the leading freshman sire in Florida, is also the sire of Restofthestory, who placed second in the $400,000 My Dear Girl S. Jess's Dream for 2021 is $4,000 S&N.
