Calculator first Breeders' Cup starter for In Summation
Tuesday, October 31, 2017
In Summation's venerable sprinter Calculator will be the first Breeders' Cup starter for his sire when he goes postward in Saturday's $1.5 million Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) at Del Mar.

Five-year-old Calculator has competed against top-class horses since early in his 2-year-old season, when he was second behind American Pharoah in the Del Mar Futurity (G1) and FrontRunner S. (G1). He has gone on to win or place in eight stakes overall.

The Sprint, which runs at 5:37 p.m. ET, drew a field of 10, with Calculator in post 1 for trainer Peter Miller and jockey John Velazquez.

In Summation was a four-time track record setter and won graded stakes at 4, 5 and 6. He has four stakes winners and more than 60% winners from starters this year.
