Swift Lady sped to a 2 ¼-length victory in Sunday’s $75,000 Sweet Life S. at Santa Anita Park, the first black-type win for the 3-year-old Awesome of Course filly who has won three of four career starts.

Attending the pace from the outset, Swift Lady powered to the front straightening for home and when on to stop the timer in 1:13.04 for the 6 ½-furlongs on the downhill turf course (VIDEO).

Following a second-place finish in her debut last September, Swift Lady has reeled off three straight wins for trainer Bob Baffert and owner Baoma Corporation.

Swift Lady was bred in Florida and is a sister to six winners, including stakes winner Sheyenne Girl. Swift Lady has a half-brother by Adios Charlie, hip 322, that will be offered at the March 15-16 OBS Selected 2-year-olds in Training Sale.

Awesome of Course is Florida’s leading sire of 2016, with a pair of stakes winners earning three stakes wins, and $412,389 in progeny earnings to date. He is standing this year at Ocala Stud for $5,000 live foal.
