First-Crop sire Prospective got his eighth winner of the year on Thursday at Gulfstream Park when Prospective Diva was up just in time to win her six-furlong maiden special weight race by a nose over Onebrethatatime.
The 2-year-old filly was last after the first quarter mile before uncorking her big rally with three furlongs to run. She split horses in mid-stretch and caught Onebrethatatime just before the wire. The final time was 1:10.99 on a fast main track.
The winner is owned by Southern Classic Racing Stable and was bred by Helen Painter.
A top-five Florida freshman sire, Prospective's first crop includes Colin S. runner-up Piven. He is standing the 2018 season at Ocala Stud for $3,000 live foal.
