Adios Charlie's 4-year-old filly Jean Elizabeth won her third career stakes Saturday at Woodbine with a front-running, two-length score in the $100,000 Sweet Briar Too S.

Despite breaking from the outside post in the field of nine, Jean Elizabeth soon made the lead and her way to the rail under Patrick Husbands. Zipping through fractions of :22.70 and :45.06, she re-broke with a furlong to run, leaving Sister Peacock in her wake and finishing the 6 1/2-furlongs in 1:15.64.

“Both of them are classy fillies and both of them are speed horses so when the gates flew open, Jesse looked at me, I looked at Jesse and we just did what we had to do,” said Husbands, speaking of Jesse Campbell aboard Sister Peacock.

Winner of the Isaac Murphy S. at Arlington Park in July, and the 2018 Pretty Jenny S. at Hawthorne, Jean Elizabeth is 8-4-2 in 14 starts and has earned $293,026 for the owner/breeders Larry Rivelli and Richard Ravin. The gray/roan filly is out of Rooney Doodle and is a full sister to Dugout, a two-time stakes winner of over $300,000.

Adios Charlie is currently ranked first on the 2019 Florida Sire list with over $2.6 million in progeny earnings and 28 winners to date.
