Final Step blitzed his foes in a maiden special weight affair Monday at Santa Anita Park, cruising to a 6 1/2-length score to become the fifth winner for first-year sire In Summation (VIDEO).

Bred in Florida by Ocala Stud, Final Step was a $135,000 auction buy this April at the OBS Spring 2-year-old sale by his owner Pelican Racing.

In Summation, who stood the 2013 season for $4,000 LFS&N, is second by earnings on the Florida Freshman Sire list.
