Beasaichi won a hard-fought duel with Kozy Kat to score by a nose in her racing debut on Oct. 17 at Gulfstream Park West.
The 2-year-old filly is the tenth winner for First-Crop sire The Big Beast, who is one of only two Florida freshman sires with double-digit winners.
Beasaichi came up along side Kozy Kat at the top of the stretch, and that duo were inseparable until Beasaichi put her nose in front a few strides from the wire. It was more than a dozen lengths back to the rest of the field.
The winner is owned by her breeder Purple Haze Stables and is from the same family as top-class sprinter End Sweep.
